Riad Boustane & SPA is a traditional Moroccan riad set in the historic heart of the Marrakech medina, in the Bab Doukkala quarter of Diour Jdad. Built around a central courtyard, it pairs the calm, inward-facing character of a classic riad with amenities you would expect from a small hotel: a spa centre with sauna, an outdoor pool, a sun terrace and a restaurant serving Moroccan cuisine. Guests consistently praise the warmth of the staff, giving service an outstanding score.
It suits couples and independent travellers who want to be inside the walls of the old city rather than in the modern Guéliz district, within walking distance of the souks, historic gates and the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa square. Rooms range from double and twin rooms with pool views to a superior and a deluxe double, all with private bathrooms, air conditioning and terraces or patios; some feature a fireplace and a minibar.
Beyond the spa and pool, the riad offers free WiFi, an airport shuttle, on-site parking and even table tennis, while pets are welcome at no charge. Payment on site is by cash only. It is an authentic, well-connected base for those who put atmosphere, location and personal service first.

Riad Boustane & SPA offers a compact selection of doubles and twins, each designed for two guests and sharing the same Moroccan riad character: air conditioning, a private bathroom, a private entrance and either a terrace or patio, most looking onto the courtyard pool. The pool-view double and twin measure around 25 m², while the more spacious superior and deluxe doubles offer extra room and a fireplace.
The main differences lie in size, bed configuration and outlook. The Double and Twin Rooms with Pool View share the same footprint but differ in beds, one with a large double bed, the other with two singles. The Superior Double Room adds space, a seating area and a flat-screen TV, while the Deluxe Double Room is the largest at 50 m² and can accommodate an extra child. Whichever you choose, expect a restful, authentic room within the medina walls.

Riad Boustane & SPA blends the intimacy of a traditional courtyard house with a genuine wellness offering. At its heart is the spa centre with a sauna, complemented by an outdoor pool and a sun terrace where you can catch the Marrakech sun after exploring the medina. There is also an on-site restaurant serving Moroccan dishes, plus table tennis and car hire if you plan to venture further afield.
Every room comes with a private bathroom, air conditioning, a private entrance and either a terrace or patio, with several offering pool or city views, a fireplace and a minibar. Free WiFi covers the property and scored a strong 9.3 with guests, while an airport shuttle and on-site parking make arrivals easy despite the medina setting. Pets are welcome at no charge. Note that payment on site is cash only and that smoking is not permitted indoors, in keeping with the calm, refined feel of the riad.
Riad Boustane & SPA sits in Diour Jdad, in the Bab Doukkala quarter in the north-west of the Marrakech medina. This is one of the more relaxed corners of the old city, a maze of narrow derbs and small squares that is still within easy walking distance of the busy souks and monuments. Staying inside the walls means the best way to get around is on foot: taxis and the city's buses drop you at the edge of the medina, and porters or the riad staff can help with luggage through the lanes on arrival.
The famous Jemaa el-Fnaa square, the beating heart of Marrakech that turns into an open-air theatre of storytellers, musicians and food stalls each evening, is roughly a 20-minute walk to the south. On the way you pass the historic monuments of the medina, including the Ben Youssef Madrasa, a former Quranic school renowned for its intricate stucco and cedar carving, and the tranquil Le Jardin Secret. Just outside the walls to the west lie the Jardin Majorelle and the Yves Saint Laurent Museum, both reachable in a short walk or a quick taxi ride.
For transport, Marrakech-Menara Airport is about 5 km away (roughly a 10-minute drive) and the riad can arrange a shuttle, while Marrakesh train station, with connections to Casablanca and Rabat, is around 2.5 km away. Spring and autumn are the most comfortable times to visit, with warm days and cooler evenings; high summer can be very hot, so an early start and the riad's pool and shaded courtyard become especially welcome.
